The Ronaldinho bidding war

Where will he end up?

About less than a year ago, I went on to write about Ronaldinho’s problems with Flamengo, and his on and off the pitch troubles. I even doubted that he could return to at least part of the form he showed at Milan, before getting back to Brazil, and also said that it’d too dumb to anyone to look for his services.

Boy, was I wrong!

Chelsea-bond Wallace can leave Fluminense in January

Wallace leaves Flu

Back in August this year, near the summer transfer window’s end, there were many rumors linking by-then Fluminense right-back prodigy Wallace to several European clubs in Italy and Chelsea back in England. It sounded as though those rumors were dead, but we’ve become aware that a move from Fluminense to London club Chelsea was in the making back in October and that such deal had Wallace moving in to England at the end of the Premier League season for 10m Euros – but Chelsea would only pay 60% of the alleged fee as they’ve gotten 40% of his rights from the Deco transfer to Flu.

But it seems that such move can be done earlier.

The debacle is (finally) over! Ganso is officially a São Paulo player

He seems happy. Let’s see for how long

Phew. His flight was supposed to be short, but it was longer than we expected. At least, the soap opera has reached its final chapter: Ganso has finally joined São Paulo.

The most recent Ganso debacle

Ganso wants to move. Again.

Some people who follow the Brazilian Championship closely and don’t live in Brazil might be aware of that. I don’t know (yet) the profile of most readers in this blog, but I’ll assume that you haven’t heard anything about the latest Ganso soap opera.

To put it short, Ganso wants to move on. Problem is, he wants to go to a Brazilian club. Worst of all, his favored club to do such thing is a regional Santos rival: São Paulo.

Robinho has Santos in his mind

Photoshop does no good

Homesickness must be one of the most common problems with Brazilian players. Ok, it’s usually overlooked by the wages they earn in the European – and increasingly in Middle East and China as well – market, but it’s fascinating how news come up every now and then about players looking to get back to Brazil for numerous reasons.

The last player who did that is Robinho, who’s been playing for the struggling Italian giant Milan.

Fluminense looking to lock up Wallace

Young RB is partly owned by Chelsea

Hopefully you didn’t get scared by his picture. Anyway, the promising 18 years old right back has been getting attention from Italian clubs Napoli,  Inter Milan and Juventus with the latter offering 5m euros for his services, while Chelsea was also rumored to be interested in the player, but as they currently own 40% of his rights they wouldn’t have to pay a huge amount of money. But things seem to be getting nicer for Fluminense fans.

Well, that was quick: Lucas Moura is officially a PSG player

Lucas joins PSG. Officially. Yeah, it was pretty quick, I know

I didn’t imagine Juvenal Juvêncio would be able to allow it to be completed that fast. But considering the values involved in the deal, I shouldn’t be that surprised. It seems that São Paulo just finished Lucas’ transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this Wednesday morning after a meeting between representatives of both clubs. The deal is rumored to be around the €43m mark.
