As Brazil’s U23 seems to have a clear path for their first Olympics gold medal after their closest rivals, Spain, fell to Honduras 1-0 in a game full of controversy, national team coach Mano Menezes is already thinking ahead of London. Today, CBF announced the 24 players chosen to defend the Amarelinha against Sweden in Rasunda Stadium, Stockholm. Mano decided to maintain the current Brazil selection that is playing in London, calling more 6 players.

After a transfer saga that wasn’t so thrilling, Brazilian wonderkid and current #10 in Brazil’s NT squad Oscar has been announced as a Chelsea player in their website. Details of contract and transfer fee haven’t been released, but the transfer fee is believed to be around the £25m mark and the contract would be negotiated after Oscar’s performance in the Olympics.
After the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian Cup finals, we will finally have all focus on the Brazilian League. Of course that will abruptly change again when the Olympics start, but let’s focus on nice things, shall we?

Today, FIFA released the name of every player that will participate in the Olympic Games this month, along with their shirt numbers. One of the highlights in the Brazilian squad is Oscar being handled the #10 shirt, while Ganso, who is disputing the AMC spot with him, earned #16.

It was a busy night in Brazil yesterday. First, Daily Mail broke the story by saying Oscar would move to Chelsea for £25m. Shortly after, it was the Telegraph claiming the move would cost £22m.
