Well, that was quick: Lucas Moura is officially a PSG player

Lucas joins PSG. Officially. Yeah, it was pretty quick, I know

I didn’t imagine Juvenal Juvêncio would be able to allow it to be completed that fast. But considering the values involved in the deal, I shouldn’t be that surprised. It seems that São Paulo just finished Lucas’ transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this Wednesday morning after a meeting between representatives of both clubs. The deal is rumored to be around the €43m mark.

French side Paris Saint-Germain joined the club of “new riches” back in 2011. Since then, they bought players such as Javier Pastore from Palermo for €40m and Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Milan for €65m. It also seems that they don’t care at all about UEFA’s Financial Fair Play, and are calling Michel Platini a “bluff” in the way. You’d think they would stop their craziness in buying two of the best players in the world at their current positions this year, but it seems that they don’t think it’s enough.

As Brazil’s U23 seems to have a clear path for their first Olympics gold medal after their closest rivals, Spain, fell to Honduras 1-0 in a game full of controversy, national team coach Mano Menezes is already thinking ahead of London. Today, CBF announced the 24 players chosen to defend the Amarelinha against Sweden in Rasunda Stadium, Stockholm. Mano decided to maintain the current Brazil selection that is playing in London, calling more 6 players.

Atlético-MG has been under a very good phase. They are standing at 1st place in the Brazilian League after 8 rounds, managed to make Ronaldinho Gaúcho serviceable for them, and they’ve been stable on and off the pitch; something that I sincerely haven’t seen in my life since I follow football.
